PBG Magazine is a food resource guide for DC residents in food-insecure communities. The magazine contains listings of food pantries, churches, community gardens, farmers markets, and places where people can access fresh and healthy produce within their community. The magazine also contains articles, recipes, and art.

Our magazine was inspired by Victor Green's Green Book, a motorist guide that helped blacks safely navigate the Jim Crow South. Our magazine serves as a guide to help people navigate towards the "greens" or fresh produce within their communities amid food apartheid. Our magazine’s first edition highlights the Deanwood community and surrounding communities such as Kenilworth, Marshall Heights, and Capitol View. Future editions will focus on food-insecure communities throughout DC particularly Wards 5, 7, and 8.
